Criminalizing War

Last week my classmate and i attended the Conference to Criminalized War held at PWTC by the Perdana Peace Foundation.
Previously, due to career constraints, i was unable to attend such conference either in the capacity as a post graduate student. This time around, to my very much happiness i was able to attend a conference with much blessings of my employers.
The conference was on grand scale with most speakers giving their take on the atrocities committed by the invading allied forces led by the US of A.

Most of them talked about the Long War of Terror announced by Bush and also his lap dog Blair. On many occasions they question the rationale of Malaysians inviting Blair to talk about peace in civil society when he clearly states his stand as a war monger with his association and support for Bush on the war in Iraq.
The most touching of all would be the presentation by Cynthia Mckinney the congresswoman from US. She showed the dvd video of a song she found in south Africa in support of the Palestinian People; the video aptly named "Who is your god?". Everyone was clearly moved by that video, and so was i.
Later, i attended the war tribunal and to my surprise seated right at the back of Tun Dr Mahathir during the hearing.
We heard the testimonial of the Tipton Three and Moazam Begg.
I must say, i must watch the movie : Taxi to the darkside to get a better understanding of what US did to those people in Gitmo.
One thing that has got my brains going into overdrive is the fact that the US goes into war in Iraq as freedom fighters for the Iraqi people in the name of Human Rights. But in the end, they themselves are the biggest violators of human rights by caging, torturing detainees and not giving them they rights to even the basic human needs.
Its a big shame and a big lie US has been telling us. And WAR should be criminalized and the US, Bush, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Chalabi and not forgetting Blair, should all be brought to face criminal charges..

Murder and they should pay for it...
